Food Literacy
Food literacy means learning how to understand, choose, and manage what you eat.
Why It Matters
Many people want better energy, better body composition, better training results, better digestion, and more confidence with food.
Food literacy helps you ask better questions:
What am I eating?
This means understanding what is actually on your plate: vegetables, protein, carbohydrates, fats, processed foods, and mixed foods.
Why does this matter to me?
This connects food to your real life, goals, energy, training, digestion, body composition, and long-term wellbeing.
How can I respond?
This means choosing realistic adjustments that help your food better support your body and your life. The aim is to develop your ability to understand, choose, act, and adjust.
The Aim
The aim of food literacy is capacity.
To understand what you are eating.
To recognise the role different foods play.
To make better choices.
To take action.
To adjust when needed.
To seek support when appropriate.
And to develop a healthier, more confident relationship with food.
